Beyond grappling and close-quarters combat, BlackHawk’s expertise includes Judo, Kendo, Iaido/Batto-jutsu, Shotokan Karate, TKD, Boxing, Kali, and combat knife throwing. By blending these technical disciplines with the rhythmic and ancestral influences of his Afro-Caribbean culture, Baba BlackHawk offers a unique, holistic approach to the warrior’s path—bridging the gap between ancient tradition and modern tactical application.

Baba has been blessed to have been taught by world-class martial artists such as Grand Master Dr. Leonard Evans, Sijo/Soke Thomas Gettling, Soke (Tuhon) Richard Petronelli,

Baba Keith sits on the leadership board of the World Warrior Alliance (WWA) an International Martial Arts Organization. He is also part of the SANUCES family under Soke LiL John Davis.

Federations

TNK Jujitsu is part of two federations.

  • the second is Petronelli's Te Combat Kuntao Ju Jitsu, Kuntao Jiu Jitsu & Re System Te, Kuntao Te Jitsu Federation

Tobutori No Kurai was Founded in November of 2008

Baba Wa Mfumo Keith AKA Baba BlackHawk is a dedicated martial scientist with over 30 years of experience in the combat arts. In 2008, with the encouragement and blessing of his teacher O'Sensei Evans he founded Tobutori No Kurai Jujitsu, a system that represents the culmination of a lifetime of rigorous training and the seamless integration proud of his Bajan Afro-Caribbean heritage into the expression of Japanese Jujutsu.

His journey began under the mentorship of his teacher and martial science father O’Sensei Grandmaster Dr. Leonard Evans, where he earned his Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) in 1995, specializing in Small circle Jujutsu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Since then, he has expanded his expertise into a comprehensive Sogobujutsu (integrated martial art), holding high-level rankings across multiple disciplines:

  • Rokudan (6th Degree Black Belt): Petronelli's Te Combat Kuntao JuJitsu (under Soke Richard Petronelli).

  • Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt): Koga Ryu

  • Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt): SANUCES Ryu Jiujitsu.

Baba Keith has been inducted into three martial arts hall of fames.

The head instructor and founder of the system is Baba Wa Mfumo Keith. Affectionately known as Baba BlackHawk, he has over 3 decades of experience as an martial arts instructor. Baba is not only a weapons expert but he also specializes in Japanese Jujutsu holding multiple black belts in (Jujitsu/Jiujitsu) under the watchful eye of O’sensei Grandmaster Dr. Leonard Evans, Petronelli's Te Combat Kuntao JuJitsu under Soke Richard Petronelli, Sanuces Ryu Jiujitsu, and Shinobi warrior Science [Budo] (Specializing in advance and improvised weaponry and a multitude of tactics). His Training also includes Kendo, Iaido/Battojutsu, Shotokan karate, Boxing, combat knife throwing, and Kali rounding out this Sogobujutsu.

Qualified Instructors

Kiro Sensei has trained under Baba Keith in jujitsu for 10 years. He has been featured as an guess instructor for an international martial arts organization called the World Warrior Alliance (WWA) multiple years. He also has a background in Hun Gar Southern Fist.
